The Cannery Hotel & Casino is proud to support Jayson Black's 26 Marathons in 26 Days event to help support Three Square Food Bank


hile we all indulging in turkey and all the holiday side dishes, one local Las Vegas resident began an epic journey of running 26 marathons in 26 days to help raise awareness for those who go hungry every day in Las Vegas.  Jayson Black is a local ultra-endurance athlete who has trained all year to undertake this epic journey of 681.2 miles.  His ultimate goal is to inspire the Las Vegas community and to promote Three Square Food Bank’s mission to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community.

The Cannery family is proud to support Jayson's epic journey that began on Thanksgiving Day from St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church.  During the next 26 days Jayson will be running one marathon a day. You can follow his progress on his Facebook page at  On December 23, 2013, Jayson will begin his 26th and final marathon at Eastside Cannery and finish at the Three Square Food Bank in North Las Vegas.  The Cannery Hotel & Casino will host a celebration party to commemorate this awesome accomplishment on December 23rd inside The Club, where you will be able to meet Jayson, his sponsors and learn more about the Three Square Mission.
