Anniversary of Legend Tour performs on February 28th at premier North Las Vegas Venue

The WailersLAS VEGAS – The group that pioneered roots rock reggae, also known as Bob Marley’s band, The Wailers will perform for the first time in The Club at the Cannery Casino & Hotel at 2121 East Craig Road in North Las Vegas at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 28.

Together with Bob Marley, the Wailers have sold more than 250 million albums worldwide. In England alone, they have more than 20 chart hits, including seven Top 10 songs. Outside of their groundbreaking work with Marley, the Wailers also have played with international acts such as Sting, the Fugees, Stevie Wonder, and Carlos Santana. As the greatest living exponents of Jamaica's reggae tradition, the Wailers have completed innumerable other tours, playing to an estimated 24 million people across the globe.

The Wailers’ group includes: Koolant Brown on lead vocals, Aston "Family Man" Barrett on bass, Keith Sterling on keys, Drummie Zeb on drums, Audley Chisholm on rhythm guitar, and Cegee Victory on background vocals.

Originally, The Wailers started as Bob Marley, Bunny Livingston and Peter Tosh. After the group dissolved, Bob Marley created his group Bob Marley & The Wailers, with the Wailers Band as the backing band, and the I Threes as backup vocalists. The Wailers Band mainly consisted of bassist Aston "Family Man" Barrett and his brother, drummer Carlton (Carlie) Barrett, who had been members of The Upsetters, with whom The Wailers had recorded some of their most famous songs.

After the death of Bob Marley in 1981, the Wailers Band was led by Junior Marvin and Aston Barrett. In 2006 they played on 311's Summer Unity tour. In 2010, they toured with 311 again.

Tickets for the show are $27.95 and can be purchased at or by calling the Cannery Casino & Hotel at (702) 507-5700.
