BOOK A ROOM

We're feeling very fortunate to have met some remarkable people staying at the Cannery after they were displaced by the Carpenter One Fire. We worked with the Red Cross to provide some of these folks a place to stay at no cost. One of those amazing women is Rose M. She's 82 years old and bought her home on Mount Charleston in 1976.   She's been living in it full time since 1989.  Rose heard about the evacuation while at a 4th of July BBQ and had enough time to run home to get her and her son's cat. When officials told her she could go back to get essentials she was able to retrieve her medications and  son’s other cat.  But there wasn’t enough time to grab non-essentials, which now she is finding she needs to buy due to the long evacuation. She is a very grateful and kind woman, and we're honored to be able to help her during this time of need.
