The 17 member band, led by Don Salvador Lizarraga Sanchez, have been playing for nearly 50 years and were the first to sing in English in the genre “Banda Sinaloense.” La Original Banda El Limon has conserved the traditional sound of older bands, although it has advanced with technology, becoming the first Banda Sinaloense band to use a sound system, and the first to incorporate a singer.

American soul music group, The Spinners will perform on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cannery Casino & Hotel located at 2121 East Craig Road in North Las Vegas.

Spinners Photo #1(2014)For more than 50 years, The Spinners have sung the band’s classic hits and the group still tours with original member Henry Fambrough. Widely known as the greatest soul group of the early '70s, the group created a body of work that defined the lush, seductive sound of Philly soul. Ironically, the band was from Detroit where they originally formed as a doo wop group during the late '50s. Throughout the '60s, the Spinners shifted to R&B and pop and by the mid-'60s, they had signed with Motown Records.

After “It’s a Shame” became a hit in 1970 and Phillipe Wynne became the new lead singer, the group signed with Atlantic Records where they developed a distinctive sound with Wynne's breathtaking falsetto and the group's intricate vocal harmonies. With a detailed web of horns, strings, backing vocals, and lightly funky rhythms, The Spinners recorded a number of soul classics, including "I'll Be Around," "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love," "Mighty Love," "Ghetto Child," "Then Came You," "Games People Play," and "The Rubberband Man."
