An unforgettable night of the best of classic rock will happen on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cannery Casino & Hotel located at 2121 East Craig Road in North Las Vegas.
The ultimate classic rock all-star band features former members of JOURNEY, BOSTON, SANTANA, STEPPENWOLF, and LYNYRD SKYNYRD who will perform together an incredible night of hit-after-hit rock and roll classics.
2014 marks the 17th anniversary of the World Classic Rockers who have earned the reputation as the World’s Greatest Classic Rock All-Star Band. Featuring former members of rock super-groups, Aynsley Dunbar (Journey), Michael Monarch & Nick St. Nicholas (Steppenwolf), Fran Cosmo (Boston), Greg Walker (Santana), Randall Hall (Lynyrd Skynyrd), the group combines the talents of some of the most prominent musicians to ever grace the stage.
WCR has toured the world bringing audiences to their feet with electrifying performances of legendary hits such as: “Born To Be Wild,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Black Magic Woman,” “Separate Ways,” “Magic Carpet Ride”, “Anyway You Want It,” “Peace of Mind,” “Evil Ways,” “Free Bird,” “More Than a Feeling,” “Oye Como Va,” and more.
The 11th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival at the Cannery Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas will bring summer into full swing. The grills will be fired up with barbeque options from Seven Seas, H & H BBQ, Smoke N Sams, Ben’s BBQ and Road Kill Grill. Micro and craft brewed beers and ciders will be available from local brewers including Oskar Blues Brewery, Ballast Point Brewery, Rogue Brewery, Green Flash Brewery, Shiner Brewery Original Sin Ciders, and Steigl.
Entertainment will include blues entertainers including Grammy-nominated blues artists Booker T. and Shemekia Copeland, along with Sputzy & The Soul Providers, bluegrass group Railsplitters, singer/songwriter Kelly Sheehan, and New Orleans native Ironing Board Sam, whose unique performance style includes strapping his keyboard to an ironing board.
The Cannery Casino & Hotel will host “Together We Can,” an evening of delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, and a live and silent auction to benefit Southern Nevada’s only food bank, Three Square, and the more than 340,000 people who are hungry in the Valley. Live musical performances will be presented by students from the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts.
